Core services

Six pillars, across the whole product lifecycle

From a product that does not exist yet to one that has drifted over five years of releases. We design, diagnose, optimise, systematise, implement and then stay on as long as you need us. Engineering is always the last step, never the first.

P-01

Full-cycle product design & MVP strategy

Zero to one. We take a product from proposition and user research through to a shippable interface, so a first release is something you can defend rather than something you have to apologise for.

  • Discovery, competitor teardown and jobs-to-be-done framing
  • Feature prioritisation and MVP scope definition
  • Information architecture, user flows and wireframes
  • High-fidelity UI across every key state and breakpoint
  • Clickable prototype for user testing and investor demos

P-02

UI/UX audits & usability diagnostics

A structured review of the interface you already have, screen by screen, with every finding rated by severity and effort so your team knows exactly what to fix first.

  • Heuristic evaluation against Nielsen and platform conventions
  • Typographic hierarchy, scale and readability analysis
  • Spacing, alignment and grid consistency mapping
  • WCAG 2.2 AA contrast, focus, target-size and reflow checks
  • Prioritised issue register with severity, effort and owner

P-03

Conversion rate & checkout layout optimisation

Friction removal on the paths that carry your revenue: signup, onboarding, pricing, cart and checkout. We find where people stall and restructure the screen around the decision they are trying to make.

  • Funnel and drop-off analysis across the purchase path
  • Checkout and cart layout restructuring, step by step
  • Onboarding and activation flow redesign
  • Form design, validation and error-state rework
  • Structured A/B test hypotheses with success criteria

P-04

Enterprise design systems & token architecture

The rules that stop your interface drifting again: a token layer, a component library and documentation that designers and developers both build from.

  • Type scale, line-height and vertical rhythm rules
  • Spacing scale, layout grids and responsive breakpoints
  • Colour, contrast and elevation tokens as JSON, CSS or Tailwind config
  • Figma library with variants, states and usage rules
  • Governance model, versioning and contribution guidance

P-05

Frontend engineering & design-to-code

Implementation phase. We build what was designed, in clean code, with responsive and accessibility behaviour written into the specification rather than added afterwards.

  • Semantic HTML, modern CSS and vanilla or framework JavaScript
  • React, Vue, WordPress, Webflow and custom template work
  • Pixel-accurate implementation against the approved Figma file
  • Third-party and API integration into the interface layer
  • Cross-browser, responsive and keyboard QA, then repository handover

P-06

Dedicated UX/UI advisory & retainer support

Design capacity for teams that need it continuously. A fixed block of hours each month, invoiced per period, with no automatic renewal and no long lock-in.

  • Named designer embedded in your sprint cadence
  • Design review and critique on work your team produces
  • Ongoing maintenance and extension of the design system
  • Rapid turnaround on new screens, states and components
  • Hiring support: briefs, portfolio review and technical interviews

Estimated project scopes

Indicative scopes, not a price list

These are starting points for typical engagements so you can size a budget before the first call. Your actual fee is fixed in a written proposal and confirmed in a countersigned statement of work. Nothing here is a checkout.

Working process

Four stages, in this order, every time

The sequence matters. Nothing gets designed before it is understood, and nothing gets built before it is approved.

  1. 01

    UI/UX audit & requirements briefing

We start with a briefing call and a preliminary look at your interface. You tell us what is breaking down; we tell you what we can see from the outside and what a proper engagement would need to cover.

    You receive

Briefing notes, preliminary findings, scope direction

  2. 02

Custom proposal & master services agreement

You receive a written proposal with scope, assumptions, exclusions, milestones and a fixed fee. Once it is agreed, we issue the statement of work and, for multi-phase programmes, an MSA to sit above it.

    You receive

Written proposal, statement of work, MSA where relevant

  3. 03

Wireframing, high-fidelity UI design & review

Structure first, surface second. Flows and wireframes are agreed before any visual design begins, then high-fidelity screens are built out across breakpoints with two consolidated review rounds per milestone.

    You receive

Flows, wireframes, high-fidelity screens, design system

  4. 04

    Frontend development, QA & handover

Approved designs are implemented in clean code, checked across browsers, devices and keyboard navigation, then handed over with documentation and a walkthrough. A 30-day defect correction period follows.

    You receive

Source repository, QA report, documentation, walkthrough

About the agency

A consultancy, not a marketplace

Webics Consulting is the design and frontend engineering practice of Instant Payments Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong SAR. We work with a small number of business clients at a time on bespoke, fixed-scope engagements.

We do not sell templates, courses, seats or subscriptions. Every piece of work begins with a briefing, is described in a written proposal, and is governed by a countersigned statement of work that names the deliverables, the milestones and the fee before anyone starts.

That structure exists because interface work goes wrong in predictable ways: unclear scope, unrecorded decisions and unspoken assumptions. Writing it all down first is the cheapest fix available.

Who we work with

SaaS platforms

Product teams whose interface grew faster than its rules and now needs a system behind it.

Web applications

Internal tools and dashboards where dense data has to stay readable and operable.

E-commerce companies

Storefronts where hierarchy, spacing and layout are getting in the way of the purchase path.

Development teams

Engineering groups who need a specification precise enough to build against without guessing.

Questions

Answered before you ask

If something here is still unclear, put it in the proposal request and we will answer it directly on the briefing call.

Do I have to give you access to my production code?

No. An audit needs nothing more than a staging URL or a set of screenshots. For a frontend build we work in a branch or a separate repository, and we ask you to take a backup before we begin. Any access you grant is revoked within five business days of handover.

How do I buy? I cannot see a checkout.

There is not one, deliberately. Every engagement is scoped in writing first. You send a proposal request, we hold a briefing call, we issue a written proposal, and work begins once the statement of work is countersigned and the first invoice is settled.

Are the figures on this page final prices?

They are indicative starting points for a typical scope, not offers. Your price is the fixed fee stated in your proposal and confirmed in the statement of work. There are no hidden extras and no subscriptions.

Do you work in Figma or Sketch?

Figma by default, including on your existing file if you have one. We can work from Sketch or Adobe XD exports, and we can rebuild a file from scratch when the existing one has no structure worth preserving.

Who owns the design files and the code?

You do, once the engagement is paid in full. Our internal frameworks and boilerplate remain ours, but you get a perpetual licence to use them as part of your deliverables. Third-party fonts, icons and plugins stay under their own licences and we always tell you which ones a deliverable depends on.

How many revision rounds are included?

Two consolidated rounds per design milestone unless the statement of work says otherwise. A revision means feedback applied to an agreed direction. A new direction after sign-off is a change request, and we quote it in writing before doing any work.

What happens if the work does not meet the specification?

We correct it at no charge. If it still materially fails to meet what the statement of work described after that correction, you can request a refund of the fee for the affected milestone, calculated proportionately and explained in writing.

Can you guarantee a conversion increase?

No, and you should be sceptical of anyone who does. We can guarantee a rigorous, evidenced process and deliverables that match the written specification. Commercial outcomes depend on your market, pricing, traffic and product, which are outside our control.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes, before the briefing call and at no charge. Send us your standard form and we will review and return it, usually within a business day.

Request a proposal

Start a project or request a proposal

Tell us about your product goals, timeline and current challenge. We reply within one business day with a briefing call and a written proposal carrying a fixed fee. No payment is taken and nothing is committed until a statement of work is countersigned.
